This midday talk is the last of the 2009 series of talks organised by the Friends of the Museum.

Beauty for Ashes
In this exhibition Brett Taylor brings his figurative work to a new level. The paintings are held together by a thread of narrative, primal patterns and colours to from pleasant but strong compositions. The initial drawings accompany these paintings as separate works, to seize first insights.
Some life size figurative sculptures are included in this group of works as well.
