Beauty for Ashes

Beauty for Ashes opens on Saturday 21 November and ends at 4:30pm on Tuesday 15 December

Brett Taylor brings his figurative work to a new level in this, his second exhibition at Taupo Museum. The paintings are held together by a thread of narrative and primal patterns and colours to form pleasant but strong compositions. The initial drawings accompany these paintings and are sold as separate works. They give insight into the artist's initial responses to his subjects. Life size figurative sculptures add a powerful dimension to this beautifully executed exhibition.
