Museum displays focus on the district's special local stories and our art gallery, with its changing exhibitions, is a much-loved favourite.

Opening Hours

Taupo Museum is open daily from 10am to 4:30pm; Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Admission Charges

  • $5 adults
  • $3 seniors, students
  • Free to children, Taupo residents and ratepayers
  • Bus Tours and Group Tours- $3 p/head for Museum and Ora Garden or $5 p/head with an introduction and in-depth talk on the Garden - Advanced bookings appreciated

How to Find Us

In the centre of Taupo, at the traffic lights on State Highway 1, turn into Story Place and follow the signs to Taupo Museum.
