Museum Volunteers
Museum volunteers are an integral part of our day to day activities contributing around 1000 hours per year. They work in:
- The art gallery as exhibition volunteers in a variety of roles from set up and break down of exhibitions to assisting with opening functions
- As heritage walk guides escorting visitors on an hour-long loop walk close to the museum taking in points of historical interest
- In the Ora Garden carrying out fine weeding and keeping this gold-medal winning garden up to scratch for our visitors
- With research and display development/cataloguing, filing and scanning and many other tasks.
