Taupo Dog Training Club
Taupo Dog Training Club is a dog training club that caters for all breeds of dogs, run year round.
We train dogs from puppy through to competition level in Obedience and Agility. Tracking is also available at competition level.
Training nights are Tuesday for Obedience, including puppy classes (3mth - 5mth, general behavioural training (5mth plus) and Intermediate/ Social Senior for dogs and handlers who have graduated our Basics course.
Agility is run Thursday nights, with classes for dogs and handlers from beginners to competitive level.
A foundation Agility class is also run on Wednesday nights.
All training classes are based on modern positive reinforcement methods and are designed to suit both family pets and competitive dogs.
One championship competition per discipline is held annually, Agility in February and Obedience in April. An Agility ribbon trial is held in August, which is open to all dogs and handlers who are not NZKC members.
All competitions run by Taupo Dog Training Club are held at our grounds on Centennial Drive/Owen Delany Park.
Taupo Dog Training Club is a non profit organization which is run by volunteers: club members, in all disciplines and including instructors and committee.
Puppy training classes $50.00 for a 6 week term.
Basic training classes $70.00 for a 10 week term.
